Well what can I say these chalet evenings have revived my Austrian side! This is a famous Austrian dish of sweet pancakes that take the name from the Austrian emperor Francesco Giuseppe, in fact the correct translation is the “malfatto dell’Imperatore” meaning the Emperors mess (it was his favorite dessert). I have always wondered whether my family truly enjoy skiing in Austria for the beauty of the land or because it’s a daily tradition to stop in a chalet and eat enormous quantities of Kaiserschmarren!
This sweet is not high in fat its very simple and delicious but I suggest you have a nice long ski afterwards!
