Cooked Apples

mele-cottePerfect for a winter snack or as a light dessert, cooked apples are easy and quick to prepare. I personally like adding some walnuts because I adore them but you can also use dried fruits if you prefer.
Rinse and remove the core of 4 apples. Slice them in half and scoop them out with a spoon or a corer. Cover the hole with some puff pastry (I used a flower shaped mould to cut the pastry. In a mixer blend the apple pulp with the ingredients of your choice, this time I added walnuts, raspberries, a few tablespoons of cane sugar and some cinnamon. Bake in a hot oven at 180 C for 30-40 minutes. Serve with an ice cream ball. Delicious!!
